About

Hi, I'm Dr Chris Penter
Born in Johannesburg, raised in Durban South Africa, I have dedicated my life to providing compassionate, expert chiropractic care. My journey began with a Master’s degree from the Durban University of Technology (DUT) in 1994, where my research focused on the vital role chiropractic plays in managing tension-type headaches. This academic foundation, coupled with my experience as a part-time clinician and lecturer at DUT, has shaped my approach to patient care, blending evidence-based practice with a deep commitment to my patients’ wellbeing.
In 1997, I earned a chiropractic sports-physician qualification, further enhancing my ability to address both everyday ailments and sports-related injuries. Over the years, I have forged strong relationships with leaders in the chiropractic and medical fields, valuing collaboration as a cornerstone of effective treatment. I believe that collective expertise often yields the best outcomes, and I am committed to working alongside doctors, consultants, physiotherapists, and podiatrists if necessary to ensure my patients receive the most comprehensive care possible.
Throughout my 30-year career, I have continually sought to learn and grow, always striving to enhance my practice. It is an honour to be entrusted with my patients’ wellbeing – a responsibility I do not take lightly. My approach is rooted in problem-solving, and I am dedicated to finding the best treatment for each individual. My goal is to ensure that every patient not only feels physically better but also leaves with a deeper understanding of their own body, empowering them to maintain their health and wellbeing long after they leave my care.
